Depression

People often look to counselling for depression because they no longer want it to control their life. Depression is experienced and understood differently by everyone, and often this generalized label can complicate matters more.

There are so many factors in life that can contribute to an experience of depression, such as work, family, and social stresses, along with varying levels of oppression at individual, societal, structural and institutional influences. When it becomes difficult to cope with any of these factors, one can begin to feel different symptoms such as
  • low energy
  • feeling down
  • sleeping too little or too much
  • turning to substances such as alcohol, prescription or other drugs
  • poor concentration
  • poor memory
  • changes to appetite and
  • weight loss or gain
We will work together to better understand what is happening, why it may be happening and get in touch with ways to be free of depression’s influence. Working with any of our practitioners at Eagle Wellness will help you to explore the root causes of depression and low mood.
